Why Did We Develop JINGO!
After many years of driving through France with my family, I became desperate to find ways new ways to amuse my kids.
They quickly tired of games like I-spy, while electronic toys and personal stereos isolated them in the back of the car. So, I began to look for an alternative - something fun and easy to play, but also educational and able to hold a child’s attention on a long journey.
..and then I hit upon the idea of JINGO! a bingo-style travel game using the number plates of other road users seen on holiday.
So we created JINGO! to make holidays more enjoyable and now I hope you will find it entertains and educates your kids when you drive through France.
Why Does JINGO! Work So Well
Jingo! is based upon the départment numbers that make up France - the equivalent of UK counties.
There are about 100 French Départments, each with a unique number (eg: Paris is 75) and these départments are distributed fairly randomly across the country.
The numbers on each card have been selected by computer to make sure that each player has an equal chance of winning - no matter where you start, where you finish or where you go.
We happen to think its pretty clever.
